Feast of Immaculate Conception

Monday 8th December, 2014 is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, a Holy Day.  Masses will be celebrated on Sunday 7th December (Vigil 6pm) and Monday 8th December at 10am and 6pm.

Dublin Diocesan Crosscare Food Appeal

In the weeks before Christmas last year the diocese launched a programme to replenish the stock of the Crosscare Food Banks.  These Food Banks give food directly to individuals and families in need through local community food banks and also to over 70 other charities in Dublin who are working with those most in need.

Overall last year, Crosscare redistributed over 750 tonnes of food.  This year the demand has doubled, and they expect to give our almost 1,200 tonnes of food.

As  the Christmas season approaches, the Crosscare Food Banks have once again been struggling to keep up with the demand for food from people around the Archdiocese.

In response to this growing need Archbishop Diarmuid Martin has asked parishes to bring non perishable food items to the Masses in their local parish church on the weekend of 6th & 7th December.  Last year our parishioners were very generous to this non perishable food item appeal which meant so much to families over the Christmas period and beyond.

Next weekend 29th & 30th November will be Parish Vocations Weekend in the Church of Christ the King Cabra.  There will be visiting priests and special speakers at the masses promoting religious and diocesan vocations and christian calling.  All are welcome.

Christ the King Schools - 80th Anniversary

Congratulations to all the teachers and pupils and wider school community at Christ the King Schools.  A Mass of thanksgiving was celebrated in Christ the King Church at 10am last Friday.

Annual Mass for our Deceased Parishioners

The Annual Mass for our deceased parishioners and particulary those who died during the past year will be celebrated on Sunday 2nd November in the Church of Christ the King Cabra at 12noon.  All family members are very welcome to attend this mass.  The names of our parishioners who died during the past year will be called in prayer and a representative from each family will be invited to place a candle, provided by the Parish, before the Altar in Loving Remembrance.
